Monday's Child #51 The Pond
she waddled, waddled, waddled
and she fuddled, fuddled, fuddled
then said follow me
as she headed for the puddle
she pointed to the frog
she pointed to the turtle
she pointed to the puddle
that was growing by leaps and hurdles
the boy listened with his ears
the boy listened with his eyes
the boy listened to the duck
being so tall and wise
he said enjoy your new home
he said enjoy your summer swim
he said everyone enjoy
before winter comes again
so into the pond went the frog
into the pond went the turtle
into the pond went the ducks
as the boy did smile and did giggle

Oh, little fish
Illustration by: Carmen L. Browne 1917
Oh, little fish are you there
in the middle of the wide sea
that you fare?
Oh, little one will you grow
to be a great whale
I would like to know
Will you swim from shore
to far off land - and who will
be there to hold your hand?
Do you have a mom just like me
who will help you learn to swim
this big and mighty sea?

Return to the Highlands
It is time to return
to the Highlands Lass
It is time to make
our way home
We have been
to the Royal Wedding
A future King
who will take the throne
It is time to return
to the Highlands Lass
Kate was the
light of the town
Beauty that made
London shine
As all of Britain
watched on its grounds
It is time to return
to the Highlands Lass
my friend we have
shown our best
May Kate and Will
find joyous happiness
let us go Lass
now to the Highlands
and rest

The Royal Wedding
The Royal Wedding
it will
it will
soon be here, I must
iron my ribbon and curl up my hair
I must shine my waders
Yes, whiten my wings
I must be ready when
Winsminster Abbey church bells ring...
out the arrival of all
out the arrival of all
the fine quests
the Queen, Charles and Harry
all arriving with that
Camille (family mess)
But not to worry
or not to pout
because there is love in the air
that London will shout
that will
light up all England
and all the Queensland's
when Prince William takes Kate
as his beautiful bride in
marriage and fair hand
