Monday's Child #10 - Dear Robin

Robin Redbreast do you know

that snow has come today

covering the meadow and the woods

and I must stay in to play

Are you cold and do you need

some morsels of my bread

for worm has crawled deep in the ground

and put himself to bed

I would kindly ask you to come in

from sill - where now you stand

but know the winds soon will call

and you must fly at their command

Remember Dear Robin, that as it came

cold winter too shall pass

so please fly back when spring has sprung

and worm awakes from sleep at last
