Witches of Eeerie....Monday's Child 16

Witches are eerie as witches go
but these witches were funny
wouldn't you know

And no matter how they tried to be nasty and mean
 cooking up a kettle with darkest of stew
green it always turned before they were through
and everyone laughed before they were through

They called in their friend a jolly old gnome
and asked for some help with their green envy foam
so he took off his shoes and gave them a hand
adding some star dust he brought in a  little old can
and they stirred and they stirred it singing an eerie chant
of bats and back hairs from the tail of a rat
then they danced around the pot filled to the brim
and the tall witch did a step called the shimmy, shim, shim
but when all was through and Halloween did appear
all the children just smiled and asked "do we get candy here?"
