the little village
of Durbinshire had a secret
of its own - a princess
locked within the
tower of her castle home
promised a prince
that would never come
as
they wanted to
hold her beauty
keeping it from everyone
when a moth with
large black wings made
visit in the night
and told of the magic
and its gift of flight
he said" take my
wings as soon this
life from me will pass away"
and place them to your shoulders
they will help you
fly away
so as the moth's life
left this timely world
she placed the wings
around her and felt
their magic unfurl
they pulled her to the window
and towards the town below
and she could hear
the old moth's voice
say "now fly - let go"
and she raised her wings
and set to flight - leaving the
castle far behind
escaping into
the moon filled
night
