They went out in search of
the Old Dutchman's Mine
found a handy map - thought
it would and easy time
Out in the desert the walked
on for miles, and the Fox said
"we are close" with a grin
and a smile
They made a quick check
where the X it was marked
and over the hills they all
did embark
The Cat and the Rabbit
Fox and the Lizard
they knew they would
find it that map a sure wizard
And on reaching the spot
where the X did in fact lie
they found a Pizzeria
and each ordered pizza pie...

Mmm a pie ... that's the sort of treasure I'd like, wonderful :o)
ReplyDeleteDelightful blog- found you via Willow. LOVE!
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind words on my 'Treasure-Map'-post! It seems that Pierre's character can be several different species of animals! He's both a prairy-dog, a fox and maybe even another cat!
ReplyDeleteYou have written a wonderfully funny treasure-hunt-poem with a delightful surprise twist! (I wouldn't mind one of those pizza-pies right now!)
Great choice of image!
Sorry I am late posting.
Best wishes,
Anna

I tried to write a poem to this photo. It didn't work out but thank you for the challenge! Practice, practice I will and I hope to post another one soon.
